History
Team Hogan racing was established in the summer of 2005 after Amy Hogan, Christopher
and Kaitlyn's mom, read racing legend Tony Stewart's book True Speed. Tony talked about racing as
a child and Amy decided to look into a safe form of kids racing. She found Quarter Midgets and the
Hogan's went racing. Subsequently, Christopher and Kaitlyn always thank Tony Stewart for getting their
start in the sport they love.
Kaitlyn started racing Quarter Midgets at age twelve and Christopher at age five.
They raced at the Lone Star Quarter Midget Track located in Comanche Park in San Antonio, Texas and River City QMA
in Austin, Texas. They also traveled all over the United States to attend regional and national Quarter
Midget races.
In 2012 Christopher,
at the young age of twelve, began racing the very powerful Legend car. All his prior racing experience
made his rookie season a great success. Christopher is the 2012 Houston Motorsports Park Legends Car Rookie
of the year and he finish 3rd in Legends points. He also finished 2nd in Texas Motor Speedway Legends Young
Lions and was ranked 25th nationally by US Legends cars.
In
2013, Christopher will continue to race his Legend car at Texas Motor Speedway, Revolution Park Raceway in Monroe, LA, and
Houston Motorsports Park. Christopher plans to make a run at the National Legends Young Lions title which
will have him racing all over the United States.
Although Kaitlyn no longer
races she is still heavily involved in the sport. From 2009 to 2011 she was a INEX Tech at Houston Motorsports
Park and Thunderhill Raceway. In 2012 she was a NASCAR Official at Houston Motorsports Park working in
the tower. She is also a valuable crew member, assisting in every aspect to help further her brother's
racing ambitions.
